Under Meon Valley Dog Training Club we are proud to run courses in the Kennel Club's Good Citizen Award Scheme and APDT's Good Companion Dog Scheme. All of our classes are run to the APDT's Kind, Fair and Effective policy, meaning we only use reward based positive reinforcement methods.

We believe the bond between the dog and handler is a crucial part of successful training, and our primary aim is make every training session enjoyable. We cover many different topics in class, with each session being tailored to the need of the dogs involved, but the core subjects are:-

• Walking to heel
• Impulse control
• Target training
• Food manners
• Meeting and greeting people and other dogs
